They say everyone has about $2K worth of items in their house that they can sell on ebay. Selling on eBay can be a nice way to bring in some extra money.  I've been selling items on ebay since earlier this year, mostly clothes that my children have outgrown.  There have been times when I've been more successful at it and times when nothing has sold at all. Overall though, I've done pretty well and have been able to use my spending money on things that don't fit in the budget.  What I've found with selling children's clothes is that brand name clothes definitely sell the best and I've been amazed at what people will pay for used clothing.  With the recent struggles in our economy it's been more challenging to sell items.  I'm finding that it is better to list items very low to attract bidders.  In the past it seemed that people were willing to bid almost no matter the list price but I think bidders are more cautious and selective now.  It also seems that offering free shipping is very appealing to bidders as well.  With Christmas coming, it helps to make some extra money selling on ebay and I've been reading some of the posted articles on iSold It on eBay to get some ideas on how to better sell my items.  It's helpful to read about other peoples experiences with selling and what they've found that works.  I can use all the help I can get:)
