iSold It on eBay

A while ago, I looked around my home and began to think of how much excess stuff I possessed. Not junk. Not worthless by any means. Just excess. I'm not a natural hoarder, but I don't throw something away if it's in good condition or has some monetary value to it. No, I just had a huge excess of things that I just didn't use or need. I had been thinking of doing a little decorating and having a general sort out, but what on earth do you do with so much stuff that is filling up every spare inch of cupboard and draw space?

The solution? I went through everything I owned and divided it into four piles. Things I still use. Rubbish. Sentimental possessions. And finally, things I hadn't used in the last twelve months. I decided that if I hadn't used something in the last year, I probably wouldn't use it again. This pile was actually the biggest! Loads of DVD's that I had watched once and never again. Books. CD's. Old football programs, some of which were quite collectable. Some really collectable DC and Marvel comics from my childhood. A few bits of furniture. Some computer equipment. There was just loads of it.

The next job? List it all on eBay! is quite easy and I cleared a whole load of stuff and got quite a lot of money back for it! Just over $5,000 in all. Which made it a very worthwhile exercise! The only downside? I spent so much time photographing, listing, monitoring, wrapping and posting it all! but if I had known I could have used iSold it and gotten the financial reward without putting in so much hard work!
