Can’t find that Wii game system complete with Wii fit that your child has been asking for Christmas? Have you tried EBay? Anything can be found online and with the introduction of iSold it stores buying and selling online has become much easier.

iSold it, located on Southlake Boulevard.
has been operating for two years and has seen an increase in sales over the past several months. Certain things sell year round, but around Christmas things that might be hard to find in the store are easily found on EBay.

According to iSold it owner Keith Waggoner there are things that sell year round such as dolls, musical instruments and woman’s accessories.

“There has been an influx across the board, and there has been more children’s toys and dolls,” Waggoner said.

The point of Waggoner’s iSoldit store is to make things easier to find for the average person. His store gives anybody the ability to sell pretty much anything online. Customers simply bring their item to the store, the items are assigned a value and if they are worth more than 50 dollars then they will be sold on an EBay auction.

The value of an item comes from research online and the typical price of what other similar item have sold for. The customer leaves the item and is given a receipt. The store then photographs the item to be placed online and the item is cataloged away in a sea of bins until time for shipping.

“We try to get the item up on EBay within two days and the item stays up seven days,” Waggoner said.

Once the item sells and the store receives payment confirmation store employees pack up the item and ship it wherever it needs to go. The customer then receives their percent of the sale in the form of a check within approximately three weeks of the original drop off date.

“We work on commission, like a consignment store. We take 33 percent of each item,” Waggoner said.

Waggoner said business has picked up with the oncoming of the holidays but he doesn’t necessarily think it will slow down come Jan. 1 either.

“More people are becoming aware of our service,” Waggoner said. “There are 50 million people on EBay on any given day. You expose your item to hoards of people.”

The price the store typically starts an item is $19.99, which may seem low but tends to pay off in the end.

“We see things go up 50, 60, 70 percent in the last five minutes,” Waggoner said.

The best part about his service, Waggoner said, is that it is easy.

“I think people are getting more comfortable with it, and people are getting more comfortable with paying for things online,” Waggoner said. “That’s one reason people come to us. There is no risk with us, no scams, no fraud.”

It doesn’t cost people anything to drop off their items at an Isoldit store and none of their personal information is placed online. Rather, it is all the store’s information.

The other upside of eBay this holiday if you don’t win a bid, there is almost always more than one of an item, so just look for another one to bid on.

Besides the Southlake location there are six other locations around the DFW area.
